Crisis Communication Training

Train your Crisis Management Team and Crisis Comms Team to effectively manage the internal and external communication during an incident.

PlanB can train your Crisis Management Team and Crisis Comms Team to effectively manage the internal and external communication during an incident. The training will give you the tools to create an effective Crisis Communications Plan for your organisation preparing you for incidents that may arise.

PlanB equips crisis communications teams with the skills and techniques they need to respond to a crisis and then allows them to practise those skills. We use our Media Incident Training Simulator software to mimic all of the social media platforms as well as major news broadcasters to help your team practise their comms and responses. Through Crisis Communication training your team will learn how to respond to a twitter storm and take control of the narrative. MITS will also help to train members on how to respond to a changing incident landscape.

CASE STUDY

Communication Training using MITS

PlanB Consulting was asked by the Communications Team of a large high street retailer to prepare them for an upcoming cyber exercise which the whole company was involved in. They wanted to ensure that they were aware of the cyber incident landscape as well as the particular issues associated with communicating during a cyber incident. A full day’s training was delivered. The following was a comment on the course: What a thoroughly useful course this proved to be. The course was pacy enough to maintain interest, yet there was plenty of time to discuss aspects of the course that we needed more insight into. The team learnt so much and feel ready and fully equipped for any eventuality.”

Having since taken part in the cyber exercise the client has commented: “I have to say, the cyber exercise went brilliantly. It was clear to everyone who attended that we were prepared. In fact, many of those involved in the simulation, commented on our expertise and knowledge. I can’t thank you enough”.
