OVERVIEW OF COMPANY OBJECTIVE: |
PlanB is a Databarracks’ company that provide’s high-quality and innovative Business Continuity and Crisis Management consultancy to clients, to protect and preserve their organisation from risks and allow for swift and effective recovery from disruptive incidents. |
OVERVIEW OF ROLE: |
Our PlanB consultants play an integral role in building and maintaining Databarracks’ reputation for quality service through the effective delivery of Business Continuity, Cyber Incident Management and Crisis Management consultancy, exercises and training. The work will involve travel throughout the UK, roughly 3-5 days a month and some overseas travel. |

SALARY: |
£35k – £45k |
DUTIES:
|
⇒ Work with nominated client business areas to develop and maintain necessary programmes that address business continuity and disaster recovery. ⇒ Work with client resilience teams to develop effective working relationships and documented plans. ⇒ Liaise with key client teams to identify gaps, set recovery time objectives, recovery point objectives and determine technology resilience needs. ⇒ Develop technology strategies, solutions and plans to meet critical functions and needs. ⇒ Design and outline goals, objectives and scope for business plans and assist in the development of BC and IT DR planning and goals. ⇒ Support client management in aligning business continuity planning, initiatives and goals with IT DR goals and infrastructure capabilities. ⇒ Identify and make recommendations for IT DR solutions to meet BC-derived requirements. ⇒ Develop and execute maintenance and testing programs for BC and DR plans. ⇒ Design and implement tests and exercises of client BC and DR plans and response processes. ⇒ Provide regular feedback and reporting to clients’ top management on the critical components and readiness of the business plans. |
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: |
⇒ Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) ⇒ 3 years + managing BC and DR within a multi-site organisation ⇒ Sound knowledge of BC and DR systems and processes ⇒ Experience of planning and facilitating exercises with senior leadership teams ⇒ Experience of planning and running BC exercises with operational teams ⇒ Experience of DR planning and testing with technology teams ⇒ Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment in public sectors, managing high profile suppliers and stakeholders ⇒ Experience of managing multiple work streams simultaneously ⇒ Effective project management, planning and organisational skills ⇒ Stakeholder management skills at a senior level ⇒ Effective communication and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders |
